Elem Dept. granted level II re-accreditation status by PAASCU

The Elementary Department has been granted Level II Five-Year re-accredited status (clean slate) after a re-survey visit on October 9-10, 2014 by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU). This is the second time in a row that department received the said level status. PAASCU has found the Elementary Department meeting high standards in the areas of faculty and administrative staff, instruction, physical facilities, and library. Due to this recognition, PAASCU has accorded the department the privilege of no interim visit and an invitation for accreditation to Level III status.

On a similar note, the University is gearing up for PAASCU accreditation in the main campus on January 19-20, 2015. The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Education (COE), and College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (CPMT) are preparing for the visit of PAASCU accreditors. The assessment will focus on philosophy and objectives, college community involvement, library, physical plant, student services, administration, faculty, curriculum and instruction, and laboratories. The University’s CAS and CPMT both hold a Level II
status as of 2014, while COE has level III accreditation status.
