About Archives and Museum

The University of San Agustin Archives and Museum (AAM) serves as the official repository of the University’s historical, cultural, and intellectual heritage. Anchored on the  University’s Quality Policy, the AAM upholds a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in the delivery of archival and museum services that support instruction,  research, and community engagement. It supports institutional development by preserving and promoting the Philippine–Augustinian legacy and West Visayan cultural heritage, fostering learning, appreciation of culture, and a strong sense of identity within the University community and beyond. 

Primary Functions

University Archives

✔ Appraises, collects, preserves, and provides access to records and documents of enduring the value.
✔ Supports institutional operations, research and instruction through proper records manamgement.
✔ Ensures authenticity, integrity, and accessibility of university records through professional archival practices and continuous process improvement.

University Museum

✔ Collects, conserves, and exhibits artifacts and artworks reflecting Augustinian and Western Visayan culture.
✔ Promotes cultural education through exhibitions, interpretive programs, and scholarly collaboration.
✔ Serves as a learning resource that supports the University’s vision for integral formation and community engagement.
