Today, 25 November 2021, the Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Prof. J. Prospero De Vera III, DPA visited the University of San Agustin as it is one of his stopover sites for the “Padyak para sa Ikaayong Lawas kag Libre nga Edukasyon: A School-Based Vaccination Campaign and the Implementation of the Tertiary Education Subsidy Program in Western Visayas.” The University of San Agustin academic community led by Fr. Frederick C. Comendador, OSA, University President, welcomed him. Some CHED Scholars studying at the University also had the chance to meet and greet Prof. De Vera.
Some Augustinian Cycling Enthusiasts (ACE), with some friar-administrators, joined the cycling activity, aiming to promote health and availing of free education. “Padyak” is just one of the many activities lined up for Chairman De Vera for today. In the afternoon of the same day, he is also expected to be gracing the Gawad Parangal for the Higher Education Institutions in Western Visayas.
