Adelmar Javier Jr., a fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) student of the University of San Agustin, was adjudged as one of the college awardees in the search for The Outstanding Students of Iloilo Awards (TOSIA) recognized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Regatta in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region VI.
As President of the USA Student Government at the height of the CoVid-19 pandemic, Javier was instrumental in the University’s smooth transition into the flexible delivery of student activities. Adelmar is also a member of the Coro Liturgico Agustino, the University’s liturgical choir.
TOSIA, one of the flagship programs of JCI Regatta, recognizes graduating high school and college students who are outstanding in academics, leadership, community, and faith. The winners and hopefuls went through a rigorous selection process of submitting their bid books, undertaking an essay writing activity, and going through a panel interview.
