University of San Agustin Welcomes PAASCU Resurvey Visit for Key Academic Programs

The University of San Agustin proudly announces the resurvey visit conducted by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) for its programs under the College of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education, as well as the Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Science programs. This evaluation took place for two days, from October 3-4, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence.

The university’s president, Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, emphasizes the importance of the university’s staff, personnel, and students working together to solve the crucial process of improving educational quality through assessment, evaluation, and accreditation. High standards in leadership and governance, quality assurance, resource management, teaching and learning, student services, external relations, research, and results areas will enable the institution to demonstrate dedication and development for the benefit of the Augustinian community as well as future students and professionals.

The resurvey team, which included notable educators and administrators from several institutions, was entrusted with comparing the programs to PAASCU’s high accreditation standards. The visit was intended to assess compliance and highlight progress since the previous inspection.

The resurvey for Arts, Sciences and Education programs was led by Dr. Edgar Detoya, Dean of the School of Business and Management at the University of San Jose-Recoletos,

  • Dr. Harrison Villanueva for Quality Assurance, Associate Director, IDQAO, Saint Mary’s University.
  • Dr. Annabelle Balor and Mr. Michael Anthony Mojica for Resource Management, with Dr. Balor serving as Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Saint La Salle and Mr. Mojica as Director of the Br. Fidelis Leddy Learning Resource Center at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
  • Dr. Kriscentti Exur Barcelona for Teaching and Learning, Dean of the Teacher Education Program at Lourdes College.
  • Dr. Nelly Limbadan for Student Services, Assistant Dean at Ateneo de Davao University.
  • Mr. Renato Dela Cruz for External Relations, Academic Coordinator at Miriam College.
  • Dr. Ervie Emelda Gallespen for Research, Director at Riverside College.
  • Ms. Brenette Abrenica for Results, Director at the University of San Carlos.

The Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Science programs were chaired by Mr. Jerome Coligado, Vice President for Administration at Cebu Doctors University. Key team members included:
