The University of San Agustin (USA) and Raffles University (RU), Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia, formally established a strategic academic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during an online ceremony held on 04 June 2025.
The virtual event marked a significant milestone in the internationalization efforts of both institutions, setting the foundation for academic collaboration, student and faculty mobility, joint research initiatives, and the exchange of best practices in higher education.

Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, President of the University of San Agustin, and Associate Professor Greg Pritchard, President of Raffles University, led the signing of the MOU, witnessed by Mr. John Paul P. Mondejar, Director of the Internationalization Office of the University San Agustin, Associate Professor Tan Wee Chuen, Vice President for Academics of Raffles University, and Mr. Chia Nam Pang, Registrar of Raffles University.
The MOU outlines areas of cooperation including student exchanges, faculty development, and research projects in fields of mutual interest. The partnership supports both universities’ commitment to advancing quality education and contributing to the global knowledge economy.
The online signing ceremony reflects the continuing adaptability and resilience of higher education institutions in pursuing international engagement in a digitally connected world.
This collaboration is spearheaded by the Internationalization Office of the University of San Agustin as part of its thrust to strengthen global partnerships under the University’s internationalization agenda.
