Empowering Future Nurses: CNND Hosts Hospital Orientation to Equip Nursing Students with Policies and Procedures of Affiliated Hospitals

White coats, eager hearts, and wide eyes filled the auditorium as chief nurses from across Iloilo gathered at the University of San Agustin. It wasn’t just an ordinary day, it was the moment future nurses finally met the institutions that would shape their clinical journey.

The Level 2, 3, and 4 nursing students were formally introduced to the legal and institutional standards they are expected to uphold in their upcoming clinical duties. Representatives from various hospitals across Iloilo provided clear and structured overviews of hospital policies, protocols, and the legal responsibilities of student nurses.

From dress codes and documentation practices to patient rights and professional boundaries, the orientation served as a critical reminder that nursing is not only a science of care but also a discipline of compliance and ethical conduct.

Before the first duty call, comes the call to accountability. With strengthened awareness of the rules that guide safe and ethical practice, the nursing students of the University of San Agustin are now better equipped to enter the clinical setting with confidence, caution, and a commitment to lawful care.
