The University of San Agustin (USA) continues to broaden its global partnerships as Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, University President, and Director John Paul P. Mondejar of the International Relations Office (IRO), made an official visit to Raffles University (RU), Johor, Malaysia, on 09 October 2025.
The visit reiterated the collaboration between the two institutions after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in June 2025, which officially established fields of cooperation in academic exchange, research collaboration, and collaborative initiatives that enhance global learning opportunities among students and academics.
Fr. Dizon and Director Mondejar were received by Associate Professor Greg Pritchard, President of Raffles University, along with other officials of RU. The discussions focused on how to investigate concrete areas of possible collaboration, such as student and faculty mobility, research collaborations, and capacity-building programs that are in accord with both universities’ vision of educational excellence and innovation.
The delegation was also treated to a guided tour of the campus, pointing out Raffles University’s state-of-the-art facilities, vibrant learning environment, and quality emphasis.
Fr. Dizon said that one of the most important aspects is to further deepen international collaborations that reflect the Caritas (Charity), Veritas (Truth), and Unitas (Unity) values of the Augustinian tradition supporting USA’s goal of developing globally connected and empathetic learners.
The visit is another milestone in the University of San Agustin’s continuing mission to forge significant global connections that enhance academic rigor, cross-cultural understanding, and mutual progress.
