Fr. John Louis S. Ricamora, OSA represented the University in the two-day Command Conference on the Planning and Implementation of the Scale Up Cervical Cancer Elimination through Secondary Prevention Strategies Focus on Asia Pacific (SUCCESS FAP) Phase III. The conference, held on October 29-30, 2025, at the Seda Hotel in Iloilo City, was organized in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Cancer Warriors Foundation (CWF), the Iloilo Provincial Government, Expertise France, and the deans of various colleges of nursing and midwifery.
This partnership aims to screen 100% of women aged 30-65 years old in the project sites in the 5th District of Iloilo using the gold standard HPV DNA testing for cervical cancer screening. Fr. Ricamora expressed his hope that this initiative could serve as an avenue for the college’s outreach activity for academic personnel.
The training for participating academic personnel is scheduled to begin in January 2026, followed by deployment to the Municipality of Carles for implementation. We look forward to this opportunity to make a positive impact in our community.
