USA Nursing Program Conducts Disaster Nursing Capacity Building Training for Academic Staff

The Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics College: Nursing Program conducted the training activity entitled “Disaster Nursing Capacity Building for Academic Staff” on December 15, 2025, in the University of San Agustin. 

The activity aimed to prepare the academic staff of the Level IV Nursing Program for the effective supervision and mentoring of Level IV learners during their Disaster Nursing–related Related Learning Experiences (RLE) in the second semester of Academic Year 2025–2026. 

The training session was facilitated by Mrs. Rose Karen P. Hijosa, RN of the Western Visayas Medical Center to share her knowledge and key insights about disaster nursing and educational readiness. 

This mandatory training activity was brought to the community by the University of San Agustin and emphasized the institution’s dedication to developing the readiness and ability for quality nursing education even amidst disasters.
