On December 12, 2025, the Inagdangan Centro community in Zarraga, Iloilo, became a hub of health, learning, and partnership during the Community Diagnosis and Grand Culminating Activity led by the USA College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics Department. Under the guidance of their clinical instructor, Ma’am Sweet Lyn N. Balleza, RN, the Level 3 Team A Seraphim nursing learners together with their clinical instructors successfully presented the findings of their community engagement to local residents, officials, and the Mayor of Zarraga.

The day started with hands-on health services, as learners conducted vital signs monitoring and capillary blood glucose testing for residents, providing immediate basic health assessments.

The sole purpose of the event was the Community Health Diagnosis Presentation where the Seraphim Team A presented a detailed analysis of Inagdangan Centro, covering demographic profiles, environmental status, socio-cultural realities, economic factors, and existing health and community services. This presentation is the result of their careful research and observation, aimed to provide a holistic picture of the community’s health strengths and challenges.

Ma’am Jane Villanueva, MLE, MPH, LPT, RN, PHN Coordinator, delivered the closing remarks where she extended gratitude to the community of Inagdangan Centro, its officials, and the Mayor for their warm reception, openness, and collaboration, which were instrumental in the activity’s success.

The Grand Culminating Activity served not only as an academic success but as a meaningful testament to the power of collaborative health advocacy, leaving both learners and the community with enriched perspectives and a strengthened commitment to holistic well-being.
