The University of San Agustin (USA), through its College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, conducted a two-day Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Capacity Building training for Level III Nursing Program academic staff on December 3–4, 2025, at the Nursing Arts Laboratory B.
The activity aimed to enhance faculty preparedness in supervising and mentoring Level III nursing students during their Psychiatric Nursing–related Related Learning Experiences (RLE) for the second semester of Academic Year 2025–2026.
The training was facilitated by Dr. Ronnell D. Dela Rosa, Founding and Current National President of the Filipino Mental Health Psychiatric Nurses Society, Inc., who discussed current mental health practices, psychiatric nursing roles, and effective teaching strategies in clinical settings.
The university-sponsored program underscores USA’s commitment to faculty development and quality nursing education, particularly in strengthening mental health and psychiatric nursing instruction.
