Celebrating Compassion, Care, and Commitment: Nursing Class of 1986’s Ruby Reunion at San Agustin

The Nursing Class of 1986 from the University of San Agustin returned to their Alma Mater to celebrate, remember, and reflect on their journey during their Ruby Alumni Homecoming on January 28, 2026. The theme for the event was “Emeralds of Excellence: Celebrating Ruby Years of Compassion, Care, and Commitment.”

The homecoming began with a Eucharistic celebration, presided over by the College Regent, Rev. Fr. Generous P. Gonesto, OSA, and concelebrated by the College Dean, Rev. Fr. John Louis S. Ricamora, OSA. Following the Mass, a campus tour was conducted by a staff member from the Philanthropic, External, and Alumni Relations Office. The day’s events continued with a program and a sumptuous lunch held on the second floor of Hotel Sta. Monica, where former clinical instructors and alumni shared messages and stories reminiscing about their experiences.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the gift the class presented to the College: a laptop and a printer for the academic staff to use. Fr. Ricamora accepted the gift from the batch president.

The return of the Nursing Golden Eagles to their Alma Mater demonstrated their endless gratitude to the College that shaped them into the professionals they are today, as well as their commitment to continuing the Nursing legacy for aspiring Augustinian nursing learners.

May God bless these Augustinian nurses and continue to be a blessing for the common good.
