The University of San Agustin (USA) proudly announces that Marco Giorgione Dava, a 4th Year Juris Doctor student of the USA College of Law, represented both the University and the Philippines at the 2026 Harvard Conference of the Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), held from February 6–8, 2026 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Marco was among the few delegates from the Philippines selected through a highly competitive global application process that required a comprehensive written submission and a timed interview assessing critical thinking, leadership, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to international dialogue.
The HPAIR Harvard Conference annually convenes emerging leaders, scholars, students, policymakers, and professionals from diverse fields around the world. This year’s discussions focused on pressing global issues such as artificial intelligence and its implications for democracy, the erosion of media credibility, rebuilding trust in educational institutions, linguistic preservation, and the evolving geopolitical landscape in Asia, particularly in relation to US–Asia relations.
Among the distinguished speakers were Stephen Park, Founder and CEO of Asian Boss; Julia Chang; David Harrison; and Ned Price.
As part of the conference’s Impact Challenge, Marco collaborated with delegates from Asia, Europe, and the Americas to propose innovative solutions to global challenges. He actively engaged speakers on policymaking and emphasized the critical role of law in strengthening domestic governance and international cooperation.
The University of San Agustin commends Marco Giorgione Dava for exemplifying academic excellence and global engagement, reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing individuals who contribute meaningfully to international dialogue and cross-cultural collaboration.
