In a meaningful demonstration of inter-institutional collaboration and academic solidarity, the University of San Agustin (USA) virtually hosted the University of the Assumption (UA) – Pampanga on March 16, 2026, for an orientation on the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Level Assessment. Organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and hosted by Ms. Leolette Hubag of the Philanthropic External and Alumni Relations (PEAR) Office, the session opened with warm and welcoming remarks from Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, who embraced the benchmarking opportunity as a living expression of the Augustinian spirit of service and shared learning. Dr. Regina Aileen May V. Vergara, USA’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, then delivered a thorough, illuminating, and practice-grounded presentation on the University’s deliberate preparations and enriching journey toward AUN-QA certification, offering UA practical insights drawn from firsthand experience. A lively and substantive open forum followed, after which Dr. Arnel Sicat, UA’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, offered a thoughtful and appreciative response on behalf of his institution, affirming the profound value of the knowledge and experience generously shared. The session was fittingly capped with a photo opportunity among all participants, before Fr. Dizon brought the orientation to a close with a prayer and a heartfelt invitation for UA to visit the University of San Agustin in person — a gesture that beautifully affirmed that the bonds cultivated through this exchange reach far beyond the virtual space, growing into a lasting partnership rooted in quality, shared mission, and mutual growth.
