Rooted in care. Blooming in glory.
CNND, green and winning!
In the season of PAGSIBOL, the University of San Agustin stood still not in silence, but in constant bloom as it welcomed the newly crowned Mr. and Ms. USA 2026 from the College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics Department. For one extraordinary evening on February 21, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM there comes alive the USA Gymnasium as the USA’s University Week 2026 once again celebrates their tradition of beauty and purpose in witnessing a garden of dreams proving that when planting a purpose in the soul, the bloom becomes unstoppable.
The College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics Ms. CNND representative Kara Athena De Leon was crowned as Ms. USA 2026 and Mr. CNND Howen Peter Baticados as the Mr. USA 2026 carrying the torch of BLOOM where knowledge meets compassion and lives are saved long before any disasters. Along from every competing college departments of Junior High School, College of Law, College of Business, College of Technology, College of Liberal Arts, Sciences and Education, and College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology come together, not just to compete, but to bloom in unity of Augustinian spirit showcasing their Production number, opening speeches, advocacies, Philippine textile collections Formal Attires and Evening Gowns.
Newly crowned Mr. USA 2026 from CNND bagged the Mr. Photogenic award, Best in Production Award, Best in Philippine Textile Collection Award, and Best in Formal Attire Award.
While Ms. USA 2026 from CNND also won Best in Production Number, Best in Philippine Textile Collection Award, Best in Evening Gown Award and Best in Interview Award.
At the heart of this year’s celebration is a mission of Mr. and Ms. CNND that transcended the spotlight on readiness, empathy and shared responsibility in their Best in advocacy award entitled B.L.O.O.M. (Basic Life Saving Operations and On-Site Management) where knowledge blooms into life. A reminder that beauty is not just in appearance, but in the hands ready to save, the heart willing to serve, and the mind prepared to act on what needs to be done. As student nurses, it was the college that embodied this advocacy most deeply that ultimately reigned supreme.
This is a movement in history of becoming who you are meant to be in your own perfect timeline. As Mr. USA-CNND said “Growth is inevitable” echoed Ms. USA-CNND’s staying true to oneself.
Because in PAGSIBOL, every candidate is a victory, every story is a triumph, and every heart carries the promise of greatness.
The CNND blossomed the brightest once again, proving that excellence is not a coincidence but a culture. But while the crowns now rest on CNND heads, the victory belongs to everyone who walked that stage.
Both of them stood among them all, not because they overshadowed others, but because they reminded us that when one bloom flourishes, the entire garden rises. Their advocacy, BLOOM, found its purpose in their victory where knowledge truly blooms into life, and tonight, it bloomed into glory. They carried not just the hopes of their college, but the spirit of every Augustinian who believes that compassion and excellence can coexist beautifully.
