The University’s Best Dance Crew brought the pages of Filipino komiks to life at UBDC 2026, held at the USA Gymnasium this February 19, 2026.
With the theme Komik Kultura Kaboom Kronikels, seven crews became the icons that shaped our childhood. Radiate of CLASE was Dyesebel, graceful and fierce like the ocean tide. Performing Arts Club of JHS became Trese, lurking in the shadows with mystery and power. Double Rule of COB brought Pedro Penduko to life, magic flowing through every move. 2DMAX of CPMT owned the skies as Darna, strong and unstoppable. T-sQuared of COT dominated as Captain Barbell, flexing pure strength. VTACH of CNND twisted and bent as Lastikman, elastic and explosive. And USADA of SHS rose as Juan Dela Cruz, the hero who fights for everyone.
When the awards were called, one name kept echoing through the gymnasium. VTACH of CNND swept the minor awards, taking home Best in Costume, Best in Choreography, and the People’s Choice Award. The crowd roared with every announcement. Then came the major awards. The energy shifted as USADA of SHS was declared 1st Runner Up, 2DMAX of CPMT followed as 2nd Runner Up, their performance earning thunderous applause.
And then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. VTACH of CNND was crowned Best Dance Crew 2026 Champion.
Leading the crew were Chairpersons Ronnel Victor Rios and Jofame I. Victoriano, together with Co-Chairpersons Eryl Zyler Gulmatico and John Carlou Flores. The energy was brought by dancers Wayne Rocq Samaniego, Czarest B. Cordero, Kris Gabrielle G., Kert Carter A. Lamparero, Glenn Dale C. Jardenaso, Christian Paolo Q. Autajay, Sophia May S. Alilin, Shaira Mae A. Bacani, Krystal Pearl Evon P. Calantuan, Marianne Ruth D. Contreras, Clyndsay Klare June L. Bachoco, and Romar L. Fuerte.
It was more than a competition. It was a celebration of Pinoy culture, of creativity, and of stories told through movement. On the UBDC 2026 stage, VTACH didn’t just dance. They wrote their own komik story. And it will be remembered.
