The University of San Agustin (USA), through its Innovation and Technology Support Office (USA-ITSO), has once again demonstrated excellence in innovation and intellectual property development after earning the Platinum Award for the third consecutive year during the ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly held on March 25–26, 2026 at the Diversion 21 Hotel.
The annual summit gathered ITSO representatives from across the country to recognize institutions that have made significant contributions to intellectual property protection, innovation, and technology advancement. USA’s continued recognition highlights its sustained leadership and commitment to fostering a strong innovation ecosystem.
Further strengthening this milestone, the University was also recognized as one of the Top Filers for Copyright, recording more than 150 copyright applications. This achievement underscores USA’s thriving culture of research, creativity, and knowledge production among its academic community.
Leading the delegation and receiving the awards were Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, O.S.A., University President; Dr. Jonel P. Saludes, Vice President for Research and Innovation; and Mr. John Lord V. Brillantes, Director of USA-ITSO.
They were joined by ITSO Associates Ms. Hannah Marie G. Talledo, Ms. Vicc Lourane G. Jardeleza, and Ms. Jeanievive D. Pimentel, who also took part in the summit’s activities and engagements.
The recognition reflects the collective efforts of USA’s researchers, faculty, staff, and partners who continue to advance innovation and contribute to national development through intellectual property generation and protection.
With this three-year Platinum Award streak, the University of San Agustin reaffirms its position as a leading institution in innovation and research excellence—continuing to inspire transformative ideas and impactful solutions for the future.
