Global Pharmacy Exchange Visit: Advancing Partnerships in Pharmacy Education at USA

The Pharmacy Program, headed by Mr. Eric Justin Blancaflor, together with Mr. Klint Jun Ganancial and Mr. Michael Calama-an, warmly accommodated Doctor of Pharmacy students from South Dakota State University, United States of America, during their academic visit.

Accompanying the students was Ms. Ellen Claire Nufable-Hipolito, Pharmacist IV of the West Visayas State University Medical Center, a valued institutional partner of the Pharmacy Program of the University of San Agustin.

Facilitated in collaboration with Work the World, the visit provided the students with the opportunity to observe pharmacy practice in the Philippines, including exposure to hospital pharmacy practice and the academe.

The delegation was also given a comprehensive tour of the university, showcasing how the program trains and prepares its students for pharmacy practice. They explored various facilities, including the pharmacy laboratories and the Industrial Pharmacy Simulation Center (IPSC), and were introduced to the rich history and academic heritage of the University of San Agustin.

This meaningful exchange underscores the program’s commitment to global collaboration and excellence in pharmacy education, fostering enriched learning experiences and international perspectives among future healthcare professionals.
