It is a momentous day for the University of San Agustin. Following the 480th AUN-QA Programme Assessment held from February 3–5, 2026, the University has announced with great pride that all four of its assessed programs: the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and Bachelor of Science in Biology, have successfully earned the AUN-QA Certificate, confirming that each meets the highest international academic standards in Southeast Asia.
This is a triumph that belongs to every Augustinian: to the faculty who poured their hearts into preparation, to the staff who left nothing to chance, to the students who stood tall and represented their University with pride, and to every soul who dared to believe that San Agustin was destined for greatness. Today, that belief has been proven right and the entire Augustinian family has every reason to rejoice!
The assessment was rigorous and comprehensive, encompassing site tours and in-depth interviews with academic and support staff, students, alumni, and employers. All four programs cleared every one of the eight evaluation criteria, securing their place among internationally recognized academic programs in Southeast Asia. The achievement stands as a testament to an institution that lives and breathes its core Augustinian values of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas (Unity, Charity, and Truth) in everything it does.
This milestone is the fruit of a vision long championed by University President Rev. Fr. Arnels S. Dizon, OSA, who has steadfastly believed that a truly excellent institution must hold itself to the highest global standards. The AUN-QA certification affirms that the University of San Agustin belongs among the best in the region and beyond. More than an honor, it opens new doors for students, faculty, and programs in the international academic community, that is, a powerful reminder that when an institution holds itself to international standards, it does not merely meet expectations; it inspires the next generation to reach even higher.
The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, led by Dr. Regina Aileen May V. Vergara, expressed deep pride and heartfelt gratitude to the Deans, Academic Supervisors, faculty, support staff, and all stakeholders of the four certified programs. The landmark achievement was born not of a single effort, but of a sustained, collective dedication to academic quality. It was likewise emphasized that this certification is not a finish line—it is a renewed call for the entire Augustinian community to uphold the highest standards of transformative education and to press forward with even greater resolve.
To Everyone Who Made This Possible: Madamo gid nga salamat!
Behind every criterion passed are the faces of dedicated men and women, the faculty members who went above and beyond in preparing, administrators who coordinated tirelessly, support staff who ensured every detail was in order, students who proudly represented the University, and alumni and employers whose voices carried the weight of real-world impact. This certification belongs to each and every one of them.
Their hard work did not go unnoticed. The late nights, the countless revisions, and the quiet perseverance that rarely makes headlines have now been recognized by one of the most respected quality assurance frameworks in Southeast Asia. The University of San Agustin is proud of its community, and this achievement reflects the very best of what the institution stands for.
Let this be not an ending, but a beginning. As the Augustinian community carries forward the spirit of Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas, may they continue to raise the bar for themselves, for the students, and for the communities served. The best of San Agustin is yet to come.
