The West Visayas State University (WVSU) Cultural Center turned into a hub of innovation on May 16, 2026, as the WVSU College of Nursing hosted the 4th Nursing Annual Research Summit (NARS4). Guided by this year’s theme, “Deeply Rooted, Boldly Transformed: Filipino Caring Science and the Future of Nursing Research,” the event inspired healthcare professionals, educators, and emerging researchers to merge traditional Filipino caring values with cutting-edge nursing practices.
Bringing pride to the Augustinian community, J.T. Fabila and co-authors clinched Second Place in the Undergraduate Category (Non-WVSU) for their Poster Presentation. Their standout study, “Attitudes and Compliance towards Sanitation Practices of Public Markets in Iloilo City,” impressed the judges with its rigorous methodology and vital public health insights.
Other Augustinian nursing learners also took the opportunity to showcase their research studies at the prestigious summit. The event concluded with an inspiring call for the next generation to drive community change through evidence-based research.
