The University of San Agustin National Service Training Program formally concluded the Academic Year 2025–2026 through the conduct of the NSTP Culminating Activity 2026 on May 2, 2026 at the University of San Agustin Gymnasium.
The event served as the official completion ceremony for students under the Civic Welfare Training Service and Reserve Officers’ Training Corps programs and marked the institutional closing of the National Service Training Program for the academic year.
Regarded as one of the largest gatherings within the NSTP calendar, the Culminating Activity brought together students, facilitators, officers, and administrators in a single ceremony centered on completion, recognition, and national service. Guided by the theme, “KaUSAma Mo: Kabataang Agustino, Isang Diwa ng Pagkakaisa, Isang Misyon ng Paglilingkod, Isang Bayan na Pinaglilingkuran,” the program emphasized the collective work carried throughout months of training, outreach initiatives, civic engagement, and community-based participation.
The ceremony opened with a unified assembly of CWTS and ROTC students before proceeding to their respective graduation rites. Throughout the program, graduating students were formally acknowledged for completing the requirements, trainings, and field activities mandated under NSTP.
A significant portion of the event was dedicated to recognizing student outputs developed through community engagement and advocacy work under the CWTS Program. The awarding of the Top 3 Best CWTS Advocacy Posters highlighted projects that translated civic formation into concrete public-oriented initiatives.
The following groups were recognized as awardees for the Top 3 Best CWTS Advocacy Posters, in no particular order:
• CWTS_COT_1C for “KomunidadKITA: Luwas ang Lawas, Gabukas and Huna-Huna”
• CWTS_CPMT_MLS1G for “Kasanag Sa Katigulangan: Bringing Light and Love to Asilo de Molo”
• CWTS_CPMT_MLS1-B for “Mangad-Nga-Limpyo”
The program also recognized outstanding advocacy videos that demonstrated creativity, organization, and sustained engagement with community-centered concerns.
The following groups were recognized as awardees for the Top 3 Best CWTS Advocacy Videos, in no particular order:
• CWTS_CPMT_1D & 1F for “ROOTS OF UNITY: Mangroves for Tomorrow”
• CWTS_COT_1C for “KomunidadKITA: Luwas ang Lawas, Gabukas and Huna-Huna”
• CWTS_COT_1A for “REIMAGINING OUR SPACE: THE OBRERO-LAPUZ PLAZA BEAUTIFICATION”
Beyond the recognition of outputs, the Culminating Activity underscored the legal and civic significance of NSTP under Republic Act No. 9163. Students who completed the Civic Welfare Training Service were formally recognized as members of the National Service Reserve Corps, while graduates of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps entered the reserve force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The ceremony emphasized that NSTP does not conclude solely with academic completion, but establishes a continuing responsibility connected to civic welfare, disaster preparedness, literacy work, public service, and national development.
In her Words of Gratitude, NSTP Head Ma. Consejo S. Centeno reminded students that NSTP is “not only a subject” nor “only a set of requirements,” but “a preparation for the kind of participation that a nation asks from its citizens.”
She further emphasized that the life of a nation is sustained not only in moments remembered by history, but also “in how individuals take responsibility within their communities” and “in the willingness to respond when it is needed.”
The NSTP Culminating Activity 2026 formally concluded the National Service Training Program for Academic Year 2025–2026 and recognized the collective effort of students, facilitators, officers, administrators, and partner communities who contributed to the completion of the program.
