Enhancing Academic Competencies through Interprofessional Education (IPE) Approach to Public Health Nursing and Nutrition and Dietetics

Last June 16, 2026, the CNND community gathered at the Nursing Arts Laboratory D Amphitheater for a seminar workshop titled “Enhancing Academic Competencies through IPE Approach to Public Health Nursing and Nutrition and Dietetics.” The seminar featured Ms. Ma. Jane P. Villanueva, PHN Coordinator and CNND SACEO Project Manager, as the distinguished guest speaker. With her extensive expertise, Ms. Villanueva delivered an insightful lecture on the power of Interprofessional Education (IPE). She emphasized how breaking down academic silos and fostering deliberate collaboration between public health nursing and nutrition sciences enhances learner competencies, ultimately leading to more holistic, effective community healthcare delivery.
