As part of its commitment to promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of the University of San Agustin successfully conducted the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Seminar for University personnel on May 15, 2026, via Zoom Meeting.
The seminar was facilitated by Dr. Sherwin Sepe, who served as the resource speaker. During the session, Dr. Sepe discussed essential occupational safety and health principles and emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of safety in the educational setting. He shared workplace practices that support compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards of the Philippines and highlighted the roles and responsibilities of both the University and its employees in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Moreover, Dr. Sepe provided practical strategies for identifying workplace hazards, implementing preventive and control measures, responding effectively to emergencies, and fostering employee participation in occupational safety and health programs. He also underscored the significance of risk assessment, accident prevention, and continuous safety education in minimizing workplace incidents and ensuring organizational resilience.
Through this initiative, the Human Resource Management Office reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the University’s occupational safety and health programs while equipping personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace.
