Bringing together the spirit of wellness, unity, and school pride, academic and non-academic personnel from the different colleges and offices gathered at the USA Gymnasium on July 15 for ZumbaSanAg 2026: Stay Fit, Stay Elevated. The event featured lively and synchronized dance performances that highlighted creativity, teamwork, and the participants’ commitment to promoting health and wellness in the University.
Organized by the Physical Education Department in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Office, the competition formed part of the University’s 122nd Founding Anniversary celebration and the USA Alumni Homecoming.
In his welcome message, University President Rev. Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, highlighted the significance of wellness as an integral part of the University’s mission to nurture not only professional excellence but also the holistic well-being of its personnel.
“Our Zumba competition emphasizes wellness, camaraderie, friendship, and well-being. Apart from having one heart, one mind, and one community, this also emphasizes the wellness of mind and body,” Fr. Dizon said.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Non-Academic Personnel team emerged as the Champion. The College of Technology and the College of Criminal Justice secured the First Runner-Up title, while the Basic Education Department was declared the Second Runner-Up.
Through initiatives such as ZumbaSanAg 2026, the University of San Agustin continues to reinforce its commitment to promoting employee wellness, fostering meaningful connections among its personnel, and cultivating a healthy, vibrant, and united Augustinian community.
