The University of San Agustin, Inc. successfully held its inaugural ASEAN Quiz Bee on August 5, 2026, at the USA Auditorium as part of the University’s ASEAN Week 2026 celebration.
Held under the theme “Caritas in ASEAN: A Celebration that Unites Communities,” the academic competition brought together student representatives from various colleges of the University in a spirited contest that tested their knowledge of ASEAN history, culture, politics, governance, and economic relations.
Organized through a collaborative effort between the University of San Agustin Student Government (USASG) and the International Relations Office (IRO), the activity provided students with an engaging platform to expand their knowledge of Southeast Asia while fostering camaraderie, critical thinking, and healthy academic competition.
Following a closely contested competition, the final standings were:
Champion: College of Business (COB)
First Runner-Up: College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (CPMT)
Second Runner-Up: College of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education (CLASE)
The inaugural ASEAN Quiz Bee showcased the intellectual engagement and regional awareness of Augustinian students while complementing the University’s continuing efforts to advance internationalization, academic excellence, and appreciation of ASEAN identity and cooperation.
Through initiatives such as the ASEAN Quiz Bee, the University of San Agustin continues to create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with regional issues, appreciate the diversity of Southeast Asian cultures, and develop a deeper understanding of the shared aspirations that unite the ASEAN community.
