The University of San Agustin community gathered in prayer for the Triduum Masses from September 1 to 3, 2026, leading to the celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Consolation on September 4, 2026.
The feast honors Mary as the “Consoler of the Afflicted,” reminding us of God’s enduring presence and assuring us that He never abandons us in times of suffering.
An Augustinian Devotion
For the Augustinian community, the celebration of Our Lady of Consolation is an invitation to embody Caritas—to become instruments of comfort, kindness, compassion, and service to those who are suffering, lonely, or marginalized.
As Mother of Consolation, Mary gathers the Augustinian spiritual family—Saint Monica, Saint Augustine, the friars, and stakeholders—under her mantle, reminding us to carry one another’s burdens as one Augustinian family.
Her greatest act of consolation was bringing Christ, the Savior and Living Truth, into the world.
