The delegation of the most good looking young men and women in Iloilo on its finals night happened last August 24, 2024 in line with the celebration of the 87th Iloilo Charter Day in honor of Ilonggo violin virtuoso, Dr. Gilopez Kabayao with the live performances from Sicielienne and Farida Kabayao of Kabayao Family Quentet, and Annie Divinagracia School of Performing Arts, with the special participations of the children of Sooc.
They were donned with the biggest collection of Iloilo designers’ haute couture of Filipiniana collection styled by Iloilo better HMUA talents.
The third edition of Iloilo’s Prettiest 2024 and the first ever batch of Iloilo Guapo 2024, composed of 23 pairs of young men and women from municipalities in Iloilo and Guimaras and City district, have taken their relevant journey.
It will not be the end but just the beginning for the IP IG mission to stimulate artistic activities for the youth to stimulate our local creative industries. The competition advocates to develop young beauty queens and designers who appreciate our local culture, heritage and identity in our wearables. Its advocacy is to hone local talents and capabilities among our young designers in design, fashion, entrepreneurship and well-being to develop our local creative economy by providing a succession program for the next in-line young creative Ilonggos since the digital platforms transgress them to the world stage.
Prior to the finals night, 2 special events were held in preparation for this year’s grand event. IP IG 2024 conducted a “Volunteerism Outreach” to urban poor children last July 28, 2024. This includes gift giving and feeding program activities. The second activity was the ARTISTao Children’s Art Workshop and Music Appreciation, which was held last August 18, 2024 at the festive Mall. It is a children art workshop to interpret the Filipino folk songs and kundiman of Dr. Gilopez Kabayao “Itik-itik”, “Paru-parong Bukid”, “Sa kabukiran”, “Ang Pispis nga Bukaw”, “Bahay Kubo”, “Walay Angay” and Ay Kalisud”.
The grand event was held at Inner Atrium of Festive Mall, Megaworld. Hosting the 3rd Edition is mainstay talent Dres Bedonia of University of San Agustin with co-host Kiera Paderos, the first ever Iloilo Prettiest 2022.
