Bridging Distances, Building Dreams: A Meaningful Gathering with Our International Alumni

On June 18, 2025, in Southern California, the University of San Agustin’s enduring commitment to unity and connection came to life in a heartfelt reunion between our Augustinian Friars, the University of San Agustin-Iloilo International Alumni Association, and representatives of the University of San Agustin International Foundation, Inc. (USAIFI).

More than a nostalgic homecoming, the gathering was a reaffirmation of shared values and forward momentum. It served as a meaningful space for dialogue, where updates on the University’s ongoing growth and development were shared—led by Fr. Arnel S. Dizon, OSA, University President, and Fr. Jonas Mejares, OSA, Prior and Vice President for Augustinian Formation and Mission, representing both the USA administration and the Augustinian Iloilo Community. Alumni chapters from abroad also shared updates, bringing with them stories of impact and continued support for their beloved alma mater from across the globe.

The event was a powerful reminder that while oceans may separate us, our purpose and passion remain united. As plans were exchanged and partnerships renewed, the gathering echoed our enduring call:  One San Agustin. One Heart. One Legacy.

In an age where distance can often feel like disconnection, this moment brought the Augustinian family into one warm embrace—grounded in faith, moved by service, and ever inspired to build a future rooted in Unitas, Veritas  and Caritas.
