CNND Triumphs Debate Championship

as the College of Nursing and Dietetics (CNND) claimed victory on the championship stage.

Facing COT (Negative side) in the final round, CNND stood firm on the affirmative side of the proposition LIBRT: HB 7432, otherwise known as the proposed “No Work, No Pay for Members of Congress Act.” The motion demanded mastery of policy, clarity of thought, and discipline in delivery—demands that CNND met with confidence and resolve.

The victorious delegation was led by Bonn Christian Pampag, serving as team leader and debater, whose steady leadership anchored the team throughout the round. The competition features speakers and researchers divided by key focus areas. For the Necessity component, Precious Sophia Bayoneta serves as the speaker, with Joven Estrellado, Aryanna Golingay, and Jed Pyro Muyong as researchers. Bonn Christian P. Pampag is the speaker for Beneficiality, supported by researcher Jhailie Fabila. Ma. Kaisha Ann E. Barrios presents on Practicability, alongside researchers Mark Justin Saporno and Ashley Dingcong. Overseeing the entire work as Head Researchers are Jerika Paula Loja and Claire Elgaran.

From the opening arguments up to the closing rebuttals, CNND delivered with precision. Arguments were articulated with clarity, rebuttals were firm yet composed, and responses under pressure revealed both confidence and control. As the debate intensified, it became clear that the green team were not merely keeping pace—they were setting the standard.
