The Bachelor of Fine Arts is a four-year program dedicated to creating works that are ingenious and influential. It is nurtured in an environment that encourages initiative, creative-critical thinking, and diligence. It seeks to reintroduce art in local culture, integrate community engagement, magnify truth through research, and synthesize the collected knowledge with contemporary concept-making and art practice to produce works of importance and magnificence.
Students seeking admission to the program must have a GPA of at least 80%.
The aim of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program is to produce: a) practicing artists whose creative works exhibit core Augustinian and Filipino values dealing with contemporary and critical issues in their respective visual disciplines; b) demonstrators of high level of competency pursuing excellence in various artistic production in local and international settings and act as sensitive members or emerging leaders of communities equipped with awareness and understanding of environments, histories, theories, and realities of different cultures; c) committed and dynamic creators, articulate in directing new explorations, confident in expressing artistic ideas and proficient in providing solutions to design problems in the communities integral to nation-building; and d) motivated in pursuing advanced knowledge and lifelong learning through exchange programs, lecture series, exhibits, art residencies, and graduate studies relevant to their professional development.
