Grade six pupil, Frank Tyrese Casco, from the Basic Education Department won gold and silver medals for the individual and team categories respectively in the 2023 International Science Competition held in Bogor, Indonesia last October 8-11, 2023.
He is part of the Philippine team that bested the top contenders from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam in the Junior Secondary Division and Elementary Division– leaving a notable impression in the international scope. They brought home 22 medals and awards: five gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals including three merit awards in the individual competition, and was hailed the “Best Overall” during the said competition.
This achievement of Casco, together with other young Filipino Science wizards, showcased their outstanding knowledge and skills in the area of Science highlighting the quality of education and training that we offer in our country to the young generation.
