The Self-Awareness Leadership Training 2025 was successfully conducted in Sitio Redfox, Barangay Cabugao Sur, Pavia, bringing together nursing students from sections 3C, 3E, 3H, 3J, 3K, and 3L.
The training was implemented in phases to accommodate all participants. On September 29, 2025, sections 3H, 3J, 3K, and 3L engaged in workshops that emphasized self-reflection, ethical leadership, and teamwork.
On October 2, 2025, sections 3C and 3E participated in similar sessions, ensuring that all students had the opportunity to develop their leadership potential. The program culminated on October 3, 2025, with the identification of potential community leaders in Sitio Redfox, preparing them for active engagement in local initiatives.
Following the training, a Core Group Formation and Induction of Officers was held in partnership with Brgy. Captain Lalaine Caña. The newly inducted officers will serve as the frontline leaders in the community, overseeing areas such as health and sanitation, livelihood, infrastructure, peace and order, and education. The officers include Demars Madroso as Chairman; Bea Ondoy for Health & Sanitation; Sharon Gumacal Socias for Livelihood; Veronica Hisanan for Infrastructure; Junel Dañozo for Peace & Order; and Josefina Cahilig for Education.
The program’s success was made possible by the invaluable contributions of the resource speakers: Sir Philip Winston Yap, RN; Sir John Kim Bacerra, RN; and Ma’am Rachel Luis Halago, RN who shared their expertise and inspired students to embrace leadership with humility and integrity. The guidance and mentorship of clinical instructors, including Mrs. Angel Queen Tonquin, RN; Mrs. Aisa Beth Tantengco, RN; Mrs. Irene Paz Guillergan, RN; Ms. Kyla Marie Breis, RN; Mr. Christian Rex Villegas, RN; and Mrs. Rochel Jaruyan, RN, were also instrumental in the smooth implementation of the training.
This activity represents a meaningful step in developing leadership skills among nursing students while reinforcing their dedication to community service and professional excellence.
