On January 8 and 9, 2026, the College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics organized a two-day training session related to assessment and facilitating learning titled “Scaffolding for Learning: Effective Assessment and Andragogical Strategies” with Dr. Mardy D. Verano at the Nursing Arts Laboratory D Amphitheater. The University of San Agustin sponsored the said training. Additionally, it was attended by the members of the College Advisory Councils and interested academic staff. Another training session of a similar nature will be scheduled for the rest of the academic staff during the semester break.
The objectives of this training were for the academic staff to evaluate assessment practices in accordance with established criteria for the effective production of tools, and to facilitate instructional processes using andragogical strategies aligned with learning outcomes to support learner success.
The activity is the College’s commitment to capacitate beginning and experienced NND educators in assessment and facilitating learning, providing our learners with quality education for the common good.
