The University of San Agustin held its Annual Student Recollection for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027 in July 2026 at the USA Main Chapel, bringing together 482 fourth-year students from the College of Technology and the College of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education for a meaningful journey of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
The recollection was conducted across four days. On July 28, students from BSCE A, BSCE B, and BSCE C participated in the activity. The following day, July 29, students from BMME, AB PHILO, AB POLSCI, BS BIO MICRO, BS CHEM, AB COM, BS BIO MED, BSCS, and BS Psychology took part in the recollection. On July 30, students from BSFS, BSED ENG, BEED, BSNED, BSIT A, and BSIT B participated, followed by students from BSED SOC SCI, BSED MATH, BSED FIL, BLIS, BCAED, BS Psychology A, BS Psychology B, and BS Psychology C on July 31.
The Holy Masses were presided over by Rev. Fr. Joshua Artates, LPT, who invited the participants to encounter God through prayer, silence, and reflection. He also reminded the students that faith remains the foundation of every vocation.
Throughout the recollection, the students were given time to pause from the demands of academic life, deepen their relationship with God, and reflect on their personal and professional journeys. The experience also encouraged them to renew their commitment to living out the Augustinian values of truth, charity, unity, and service.
As they prepare to embrace their respective professions, may the students continue to grow as compassionate leaders and faithful Augustinians who serve with excellence, integrity, and a heart for others. May this spiritual encounter inspire them to seek God in all things.
