There is a particular kind of courage in championing the arts — in believing that culture, beauty, and heritage are worth fighting for. That spirit, aptly embodied in the title Mabining Mandirigma, now animates an expanding circle of Golden Eagles who are stepping forward to ensure that the University of San Agustin’s timely and relevant cultural event becomes a success.
A wave of Augustinian solidarity is building ahead of the university’s landmark cultural production on April 29, 2026 — and alumni organization leaders are urging everyone to be part of it.

The University of San Agustin proudly stages Mabining Mandirigma at the University Auditorium, with all proceeds going entirely to the university’s Culture and Arts Advocacy. The production runs twice in one day — a Matinee at 2:00 PM and a Gala Night at 7:00 PM — and the entire Augustinian community is being called to rally behind it.
Leading the way are Dr. Asuncion L. Faro (USAAA President) and the officers of the University of San Agustin Alumni Association (USAAA), who were among the earliest to give their support. Beyond financial contributions, USAAA officers — together with alumni from the university’s different units — have generously volunteered their time and expertise by serving on the event’s organizing committees, covering everything from production and logistics to promotions and hospitality. Alumni who own local businesses have further enriched this collective effort by pledging in-kind donations, weaving the spirit of Augustinian enterprise into the fabric of the production itself. Together, they are now opening the door for fellow local alumni, civic groups, and philanthropic organizations to join in this shared act of giving.
For supporters abroad, the University of San Agustin International Foundation, Inc. (USAIFI) under its new president, Mr. Eldino P. Defensor, Jr., RMT, is coordinating the international call for donations, ensuring that Golden Eagles around the world can meaningfully contribute to this cause from wherever they may be.
