This October, the Office of the University Chaplain invites the entire Augustinian Educative Community to journey with the holy men and women who walked before us. Throughout the month, we will feature eight remarkable Augustinian religious whose lives embody our Augustinian core values:

Saint Thomas of Villanova » The “Father of the Poor,” known for his immense charity and pastoral zeal.
Blessed Elias del Socorro Nieves » A courageous martyr who stood firm in faith during times of persecution.
Blessed Maria Teresa Fasce » A steadfast visionary who championed the message of Saint Rita with deep devotion.
Blessed Gonzalo of Lagos » A dedicated pastor, teacher, and comforting companion to the marginalized.
Saint Magdalene of Nagasaki » A young, fierce tertiary and martyr who remained loyal to Christ against all odds.
Saint William the Hermit » A penitent soul who found God in the quiet strength of solitude and discipline.
Blessed John the Good » A reformer and beacon of hope who brought peace and unity to the Order.
Saint John Stone » A steadfast martyr of the English Reformation who defended the Church with his life.
As we reflect on their unique stories, struggles, and triumphs, may their profound examples inspire us to foster “one mind and one heart intent upon God.” Let us strive to live holy, purposeful lives in our modern world and merit the joys of the Kingdom of God.
