Scrubs, nerves, and a dash of adrenaline—meet the four nursing students who made USA CNND proud at the 12th Annual ORLympics!
This year’s ORLympics, hosted by ORNAP Iloilo Chapter, wasn’t just a test of skill—it was a celebration of compassion, camaraderie, and competitive spirit.
And USA CNND’s team did not disappoint, clinching an impressive 3rd place with 81.6%. Representing USA CNND were Jhaillie Tyra N. Fabila, Mitchelle Ann J. Bacay, and Silabu’s very own, Ted Dian D. Tejado, and Jennelle C. Dullano.
A Leap Out of the Comfort Zone
“Memorable—that’s the first word that comes to mind,” says Jhaillie, describing her ORLympics journey. “Being chosen pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me a glimpse of working under pressure in the OR. Honestly, it even made me consider a future as an OR nurse!”
Balancing Acts and Big Wins
For Ted, the week leading to the competition was no joke. “Between intrams, morning duties, studying for prelims, and volleyball practice, it was hectic,” he recalls. “But with time management, endurance, and God as my motivation, we pulled through—winning 3rd place in ORLympics and bagging the volleyball championship made it all worth it.”
The Rush of the Spotlight
Mitchelle remembers the moment she stepped in front of the judges: “A rush of fear and excitement hit me. The time limit and precision required made it nerve-wracking, but that moment really reflected all my preparation.”
Pride in Silabu
For Jennelle, representing both the CNND community and Silabu was a special honor: “It’s more than just competing—it’s carrying the name of Silabu and USA CNND with pride. It’s about stepping out of my comfort zone and showing that with courage and support, we can achieve more than we ever imagined.”
From intense preparation to heart-pounding performance, these four students proved that nursing isn’t just about compassion—it’s about skill, teamwork, and resilience. Their podium finish isn’t just a number—it’s a story of determination, grit, and heart. Congratulations to our future healthcare heroes! To our ORLympics 2025 Representatives, you’ve made us proud!
