Prevention is Power: CNND Marks 3rd Anniversary with DOH Partnership, Advancing Early Detection, Wellness, and a Healthier Future for All

In celebration of its 3rd anniversary, the College of Nursing, Nutrition, and Dietetics (CNND), through the Nursing Student Council, joins forces with the Department of Health’s (DOH) KnowTell Van to launch a Two-Day Health Initiative on August 14–15, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Gamboa Grounds.

This initiative stands as more than just an anniversary event—it is a call to action. With the theme rooted in prevention and wellness, CNND’s partnership with DOH brings vital health services directly to the heart of the University of San Agustin. Students, faculty, and staff will have free access to consultations, essential screenings, and life-saving medications.

The services offered include consultations, dengue testing, HIV and syphilis testing, urinalysis, random blood sugar checks, and the distribution of free PrEP medication for HIV prevention. Newly diagnosed patients with hypertension or diabetes will also receive free maintenance medicines to support immediate care.

Beyond medical tests and treatments, this event fosters a stronger culture of health awareness and responsibility within the Augustinian community. It reflects CNND’s commitment to not only shaping competent healthcare professionals but also empowering every Augustinian to take charge of their well-being.

As the university marks this milestone, the message is clear: health is a shared responsibility, and prevention is a collective power. By championing early detection and wellness, CNND and DOH are not only safeguarding lives today but also building a healthier, stronger, and more united community for the years ahead.
