We congratulate our students from the University of San Agustin who made a remarkable impact at the MNL Dance Prix 2024, held at the Maybank Theater in BGC Manila on August 25, 2024. Competing under the PCD School of Performing Arts. They showcased their skills and creativity, earning top honors in multiple categories.
Highlights of their performance include: The “OPM Classics Ensemble” earned the title of Top Overall Performer. Congratulations to Maria Kirstine Mae L. Cumal (BCAED 3A), Sonja Victoria G. Mesias (STEM 12 E), and Isabella S. Lopez (Grade 6 – St. Monica) for their exceptional performances, each of whom received a trophy and a gold medal.In addition to this achievement, Ms. Lopez excelled in the Junior A Classical Ballet Variation, winning a Bronze Medal for her performance of the Peasant Pas de Deux in the 8-10 age group. She also participated in the contemporary dance group “PARAISO,” which secured a Silver Medal. Furthermore, Isabella S. Lopez and her partner distinguished themselves by winning a bronze medal for their duo “YOUTH,” choreographed by Jann Pearl B. Cordero, an alumna of the AB Communication Program.
In the Junior A Demi-Character Ensemble, Adrianna Louise Olero (Grade 4 – St. Rusticos) played a pivotal role in securing a Silver Medal for their performances of “Voices of Spring” and “Edelweiss.” And in the ABAP International Dance Competition 2024: Adrianna Charlotte Olero (Grade 1 – St. Alypius) reached the finals in the Pre-Competitive Ballet Solo category with her performance of “A Day in A Life,” demonstrating her exceptional talent and dedication.
These achievements reflect the hard work and passion of our students, as well as the excellent guidance from their coaches. We are incredibly proud of all our dancers for their dedication and for representing the University of San Agustin with such grace and skill.
The MNL Dance Prix is an annual dance competition in Manila that showcases diverse dance styles and provides a platform for dancers of all ages to demonstrate their talent and creativity while competing for top honors.
