ILOILO CITY — Key officials and faculty of the University of San Agustin appeared on Bombo Radyo Iloilo to share their recognition at the Uniservitate Awards and results of Project IPaTubig. Representing the university were Dr. Regina Aillen May Vergara, Vice‑President for Academic Affairs; Maria Cristy Daguay, SACEO Director; Patricia Vergara, Jilla Tornalejo, Edda Brenda Yerro, and Engr. Vince Bamdojo.
Dr. Vergara explained how the project takes students beyond classrooms into real‑community settings, where they understand actual problems and learn to work alongside residents — living out the core values Unitas, Caritas, and Veritas. Ms. Daguay said the award’s cash incentive will help complete activities, extend support, and add livelihood measures so families themselves can sustain safe water systems. Faculty members noted that the work directly reduces risks from unsafe water while building knowledge, responsibility, and ownership among residents — turning them into active partners. This honor confirms how service‑learning produces capable students and stronger, self‑reliant communities.Giving their all-out support to the group behind the scenes are SACEO Staff Reycard Tomulto, AJ Garcia and Chelasea Jan Campollo.
