The University of San Agustin (USA), through the College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics (CNND) – Nursing Program, officially welcomed its student nurses through BIYAHE 2026: Building Inspired Young Augustinians for Holistic Excellence, the Academics, Related Learning Experience (RLE), and Support Services Orientation held on July 8, 2026, at the USA Gymnasium.
The orientation gathered Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students, nursing faculty members, college administrators, student leaders, and representatives from various university support offices to prepare students for the Academic Year 2026–2027. The activity aimed to orient students on academic and clinical policies, introduce essential university support services, and strengthen their readiness for the academic and professional responsibilities of nursing education.
Throughout the program, participants were introduced to the Nursing Program’s academic guidelines, curriculum expectations, and Related Learning Experience (RLE) requirements, providing students with a clear understanding of the standards and competencies expected throughout their nursing journey. University support offices also presented the various student services available to promote academic success, personal well-being, and holistic development.
CNND administrators, nursing faculty members, university support service representatives, and invited resource speakers emphasized the importance of professionalism, academic excellence, integrity, compassion, and service—core values that define the Augustinian nurse. The orientation also highlighted the University’s commitment to forming competent, ethical, and globally responsive healthcare professionals equipped to meet the evolving needs of society.
BIYAHE 2026 successfully increased students’ awareness of academic and clinical expectations while familiarizing them with the University’s support systems. More importantly, the activity reinforced the Augustinian values of faith, excellence, integrity, and compassionate service, inspiring student nurses to begin the new academic year with confidence, purpose, and a renewed commitment to holistic excellence.
