ILOILO CITY — The Climate and Disaster Resilience Activity Materials Advocacy or C‑DRAMA Project was launched on July 3, 2026 at Festive Mall Activity Area, through the joint effort of the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the University of San Agustin – Social Advocacy and Community Engagement Office. It aims to bring clear, simple lessons on climate and disaster resilience — especially suited for young learners from city daycare centers.
Mr. Raul Fernandez, Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense – Region 6, gave the opening remarks. Mayor Raisa Treñas‑Chu led a storytelling session for children from CSWDO centers using the new book Donna and the Dustmites. The event also introduced the ABC DRR Alphabet, developed with careful editing and improved illustrations by faculty from Education and AB Communication programs together with the SACEO team. AB Communication faculty Tricia Aguirre and Leolette Hubag served as hosts, while Education faculty Frank Emboltura, Mary Rose Faderugao, Rose Quiros, Rona Mae Gumban and Rhounella Rhane Magpantay, and Agustino Para sa Tao Volunteers with SACEO staff facilitated fun learning activities. Closing remarks were delivered by SACEO Director Maria Cristy Daguay.
