The University of San Agustin (USA), Iloilo City, Philippines, has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, reaffirming the two institutions’ commitment to sustained academic cooperation and institutional partnership.
The MOU renewal took place on 20 August 2026 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on the occasion of the 32nd General Assembly and Conference of the Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASEACCU), being held on 19–21 August 2026.
The renewal underscores the shared commitment of USA and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia to advancing academic collaboration, faculty and student engagement, research cooperation, cultural exchange, and other initiatives that contribute to the internationalization of Catholic higher education.
Representing the University of San Agustin at the ASEACCU gathering are Rev. John Louis S. Ricamora, OSA, University Chaplain and Academic Staff of the College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Rev. Fr. Jebie U. Jugarap, OSA, Director of the Center for Religious Studies.
The renewal marks another milestone in USA’s continuing efforts to strengthen and sustain its international partnerships and create meaningful opportunities for collaboration across Southeast Asia, in keeping with its Augustinian identity and commitment to Unitas, Caritas et Veritas.
With the renewed MOU, the University of San Agustin and Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia look forward to building on their existing cooperation and developing further collaborative programs and initiatives that foster academic exchange, cultural understanding, and solidarity among Catholic higher education institutions in the region.
