University Wide Health Education Drive: Empowering the Augustinian Community

On December 16, 2025, the College of Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics initiated a University Wide Health Education Drive. This initiative aimed to empower the Augustinian community toward better health by promoting prevention, awareness, and self-reliance. The activity was conducted on various locations inside the campus such as the USA Gym, Gamboa Hall, Alumni Hall, and the Administrative Building.

The Level 1 learners were designated to conduct a clean-up drive inside the university which focus on maintaining a cleaner and greener environment that promotes sanitation and environmental stewardship. While the Level 2 learners integrate reproductive health education through distributing their informative and educational material that aims to foster awareness and responsible decision-making. On the other hand, the Level 3 learners were tasked to conduct health education about proper care of the vital organs of our body such as heart, lungs, liver, and kidney which emphasized disease prevention and healthy lifestyle. Lastly, the Level 4 learners provided a health education about disaster preparedness and basic first aid that are essential during emergency situations and unforeseen disasters.

The CNND’s initiative to organize a University Wide Health Education Drive is a testament to its commitment of bridging the gaps towards health by using the institution as means to promote a better and healthier community for everyone. This activity not only strengthened health awareness among other students, faculty, and staff but also allowed the learners to apply their knowledge in real-life community settings. The program highlighted the vital role of academic institutions in fostering holistic health and community resilience.
