As part of the University of San Agustin’s continuing commitment to internationalization and global engagement, International Relations Office (IRO) Director Mr. John Paul P. Mondejar paid a courtesy visit to the Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) in Bandung, Indonesia, on 25 June 2026.
IPDN, Indonesia’s premier higher education institution for public administration and governance, operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The institution is dedicated to educating and training future government officials and public sector leaders, making it a key institution in developing competent and ethical public servants across the country.
During the visit, Director Mondejar met with IPDN Rector Dr. Halilul Khairi, M.Si., together with the institution’s Vice Rectors and International Relations Office Director. The meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties and explore potential areas of collaboration in higher education, including academic and research partnerships, faculty and student mobility, capacity-building initiatives, and internationalization strategies.
Both institutions also exchanged best practices in international engagement and discussed opportunities for cooperation in public administration, governance, leadership development, and other areas of mutual interest. The dialogue reflected the shared commitment of the University of San Agustin and IPDN to fostering globally competent graduates and expanding meaningful international partnerships within the ASEAN region and beyond.
The visit was facilitated by Prof. Connie Rahakundini Bakrie, whose support helped make the engagement possible and contributed to the productive exchange between the two institutions.
The discussions concluded on a positive note, with both institutions recognizing the value of sustained dialogue and strategic collaboration. The visit laid the groundwork for future initiatives that will strengthen academic cooperation in education, research, faculty and student mobility, and institutional development, while advancing the internationalization goals of both the University of San Agustin and IPDN.
