With the theme “Read, Reread, Relive,” the University of San Agustin’s Learning Resource
Center officially opens Book Fair 2023 on November 14, 2023.
The USA-LRC Book Fair 2023 aims to provide the administrators, the faculty, and the students an avenue to select and acquire resources relevant to the university’s curriculum. It highlights the importance of developing the resources and collection in the library and providing the students with more balanced resources and materials.
According to Ms. Rhea Espina, MSLIS, “the essence of collection development is the collaboration among the members of the academic community.” The opening ceremony was led by Rev. Fr. Mamerto A. Alfeche, O.S.A., Ms. Rhea L. Espina, MSLIS, together with the representatives of the book exhibitors from CD Books International, Page One Trading,
Belview Company, Inc., Forefront Book Company, Fastbook Educational Supply, Inc., C & E Publishing, Inc., Megatext Philippines, Inc., D’Tops Bookstore, New Century Books, Super Pages Trading, F & J De Jesus, Inc., and Linar Educational Materials, Inc.
In times when information literacy is challenged, Ms. Espina asserts that it is important to develop reading and promote the love of literature within the Augustinian community. The Book Fair starts on November 14, 2023, and will end on November 16, 2023. The Augustinian community is invited to read, reread, and relive their love for literature and books.
