The University of San Agustin proudly celebrates Joseph Andrean D. De La Cruz, a BS Computer Science student, for placing Top 4 at the Western Visayas Tech Awards 2025, held at Festive Mall–Iloilo on September 20, 2025.
Joseph impressed the judges with his portfolio of over 10 live systems, including a pharmaceutical lab booking platform and the Iloilo Harvest farm-to-table marketplace, both developed using modern web technologies.
The awards recognized the Top 10 Outstanding Students in Technology from top regional schools such as Capiz State University, West Visayas State University, Central Philippine University, and the University of San Agustin.
Representing the university were Mr. Robert A. Aguilar Jr. (BSIT Academic Supervisor), Ms. Novelita Berganio (attending in lieu of Dr. Ephraim Basal Jr., DIT, Academic Supervisor of Computer Science), and Ms. Christine Diane Advincula, Faculty of Computer Science.
The Western Visayas Tech Awards is part of the Innovative Startup Fest, organized by the Global Shapers Community – Iloilo Hub, DEVCON Visayas, UMWAD, and DOST Region VI.
