USALT is PH Rep to AYTF in Cambodia

The University of San Agustin  Little Theater (USALT) will join 18 theater groups from 12 countries for the Asian Theater Youth Festival (AYTF) on November 24-27 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. 

USALT, who joined AYTF 2019 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia will be one of three Philippine theater groups in AYTF 2022, co-hosted by the Khmer Art Action with the Phare Cambodian Circus. The resident theater company of the University of San Agustin – Iloilo will stage Celina Tierra, an original play that highlights environment, folk mythology, local heritage and pop culture in keeping with the festival theme Roots and Routes. The play will be performed on November 16 at the USA Auditorium, Iloilo City and Siam Reap on November 26 at the Banteay Srei District. 

The USALT delegation is composed of Anthea Dulfo, Kyle Laguda, Phineemar Magbanua, Polla Sotomil, Quezzy Claire Pedregosa, Ron Matthews Espinosa, Loi Gamboa and USALT Artistic Director Eric Divinagracia. 

AYTF was founded in 2016 as “a vehicle of change, connecting Asia through performance, dialogue, workshops and exchange programmes (aytfest.com).”
