The University of San Agustin celebrated World Architecture Day 2026 on October 21, 2026, at the USA Gymnasium through The Guilds’ Gathering, a medieval fantasy-inspired celebration organized by the Atelier Council, United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary–USA Chapter (UAPSA-USA), and Philippine Association of Landscape Architects Student Auxiliary (PALASA). Carrying the theme “A Home for Every Soul. A Future for Every Realm,” the event brought together approximately 300 students, faculty members, and guests.
The celebration featured artistic challenges, physical games, and collaborative activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork, friendly competition, and camaraderie among architecture students. It also provided a platform for knowledge-sharing through presentations by guest speakers Kurt Carolino, Emanuel Denosta, Marven Joseph Tipawan, and Alexandria Tarroja, who showcased their award-winning undergraduate theses, research, design concepts, and architectural solutions. Participating merchants also showcased their products through dedicated booths during the event.
The gathering was graced by Dr. Nolan C. Tolosa, Dean of the College of Technology; Ar. Antoine Geoffrey V. Coo, Academic Supervisor of the Department of Architecture; and Patrick Kirby Poral, Governor of EACO, alongside the presidents of the three organizing student organizations: Jeron Ojerio of the Atelier Council, Chios Je Galvan of UAPSA-USA, and Ryan Paul Pahanonot of PALASA.
Guided by the official World Architecture Day theme, “Housing is a Human Right. Build It,” the celebration emphasized the importance of creating accessible, inclusive, and dignified spaces for all. It also highlighted the responsibility of future architects to design environments that respond to the needs of people and communities.
The University of San Agustin extends its appreciation to the student organization organizers, participating students, faculty members, guest speakers, merchants, and partners who contributed to the success of this celebration.
Happy World Architecture Day 2026!
